Welcome message
With great pleasure we invite you to the 9th EFEPR EPR Summer School which will
take place in Geneva (Switzerland) from 3 to 9 September 2023.
While we regret that the COVID pandemic prevented us from organizing the
school in 2021, we are excited about the possibility to host up to 100
future EPR scientists in our venue located in the Sciences II building
at the University of Geneva.
Building on the success of previous schools, we are certain that this will
be a platform to exchange ideas, find new career paths, disseminate the knowledge
of EPR and get in contact with the recent advancements in methodological and
practical aspects. The diversified topics covered during the school will
provide a forum for the participants to share knowledge through several
theoretical sessions, poster presentations and hands-on experience in the EPR labs.
We are grateful to the many companies that have agreed to sponsor our school,
thereby greatly reducing the students’ fee which will surely enable enhancing
the diversity and inclusion policy. We believe that the key for a successful
school is the quality of the teachers, and we are happy to announce that 25
excellent EPR experts have agreed to teach the fundamentals of EPR and
introduce the most innovative aspects of EPR development and applications.
We are also thankful to the scientific committee members for their enthusiasm
and their work to creating such an exciting program.
You can expect a very stimulating, fruitful and enjoyable time in Geneva.
After a full day of EPR, thanks to an efficient transportation system, you
will be able to enjoy a quick stroll in the old city center or along the
lake of Geneva. We are organizing extra-EPR activities for Thursday 7th September
which will hopefully expand our scientific knowledge on the Universe and
will then allow us to relax in the beautiful summer atmosphere of the lake
of Geneva.
We look forward to welcoming you in Switzerland for the 9th
EFEPR school!
